vCAC 6 Install Quick Start Guide Part 2

In this section we will configure the Windows IaaS components

This guide is broken up into the following parts:

Part 1 : Configuring the SSO and vCAC Appliances

Part 2 : Installing the Windows IaaS Components

Part 3: Configuring the system for vSphere Provisioning

Part 4: Entitling a Blueprint for catalog consumption

Now we are ready to install the IaaS components on the WIndows Box. Remote Desktop into the WIndows box as your service account

The windows box requires that IIS is installed and Microsoft .Net 4.5 is configured

Once the pre-reqs are installed and configured, run the following command

1. Change directory to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\ (or the location of your most current version)
2. Run: aspnet_regiis.exe -i
3. Run: iisreset

Now we are ready to install the IAAS components. Open Firefox Browser and go to http://FQDN-of-VCACappliance in a web browser

Accept the certificate for installer page and click on setup.exe link

After downloading Setup.exe run the installer and click next

Accept License agreement and click next

enter the user and password of vCAC appliance root VMware1! then click next

Select complete Install and click Next

Resolve any outstanding issues with Pre-Req checker. (Note you may need to bypass some checks as it may not pick up all changes you make)

Enter your installation and Database information and click next

On the next screen keep the defaults and click next (Notice the vSphere endpoint name, this needs to match when you setup the endoint in the admin portal)

Follow instructions below for this screen (SSO administrator is administrator@vsphere.local password is VMware1!

Click install Certificate

Click next

Next

Finish

Click Ok, then OK

Now click the following and verify you have all green passed.

Now click install

It will take several minutes to install, monitor the progress

You should see the following screen if all went well Click next

Click finish and it should open a web browser to the vCAC appliance https://FQDN-of-vCACAppliance/shell-ui-app MAKE SURE YOU USE FIREFOX!!!

Now accept the certificate for the SSO appliance

But wait, check to make sure the vCAC service started, start it if not.
